Return/Refund Policy

By placing an order at inspiredbylux.com, you agree to the full terms of our Return/Refund Policy: 

Here at Inspired By Lux, we understand the uniqueness of fragrance on an individual and preferential level.  Therefore, we have enacted the following policies regarding: 1) Customer Satisfaction; 2) Refunds/Exchanges, and 3) Returns/Exchanges.  Also addressed within our policy are:  4)  Damages and Issues, and 5) In-Store Credit Refunds.

CUSTOMER SATISFACTION:

For complete customer satisfaction, we allow a one-time exchange on the following:

  • Colognes
  • Perfumes

Customer is responsible for return shipping cost when making a return.  Customer is responsible for all shipping costs (both return and re-shipment) when making any exchange.

Returns are allowed within ten (10) days of delivery date to customer and must first follow the Return/Exchange Process outlined below, including contacting Customer Support immediately.  With no exceptions, returns are refunded via Store Credit only after the deduction of a $7.00 Restocking Fee per item, payment processing fees, and cost of original shipping.  Shipping costs (if any) are not eligible for refund, or store credit.  Only regular-priced items may be refunded Store Credit. Sale Items (Items on mark-down, purchased using a promotion or discount code) are FINAL SALE.

ITEMS NOT ELIGIBLE FOR RETURN:  Due to the nature of personal hygiene products, please note that we are unable to accept returns (or exchanges) for: All Samples; Solid Colognes; Soaps; Body Washes; and any/all products which have surpassed ten (10) days of delivery date to customer mailing address.

RETURNS ON ITEMS PURCHASED WITH DISCOUNTS, SALES, PROMOTIONS, OR COUPONS:  All orders placed using discount codes, promotions and/or promotional codes, coupon codes, for items placed on sale, or in conjunction with any of the above, cannot be returned for the issuance of in-store credit.  Only regular-priced items qualify for refunds of in-store credit.  All sale items (meaning items purchased using a PROMO CODE or DISCOUNT CODE or SALE ITEM) are “FINAL SALE” – meaning we do not accept returns, and we do not issue refunds of in-store credit, or of any kind.

The only exception to this policy are products deemed faulty and have been communicated to: support@inspiredbylux.com.  All faulty items must first be returned for inspection. 

REFUNDS/EXCHANGES:

We are unable to offer Returns and/or Exchanges on all orders from outside the United States at this time due to international shipping regulations and prohibitions.  Our return policy is only applicable to customers who have placed orders within the Continental United States.

We are only able to offer in-store credit refunds to our customers.  The only exception to this is customer receipt of a faulty item. 

To be eligible for a return, your item (cologne or perfume) must be in the same condition that you received it, and must contain at least 95% (or more) original parfum.  We can only accommodate returns and exchanges within ten (10) days from the date of delivery to customer.  If ten (10) days have gone by since your purchase, unfortunately we cannot offer you a refund, or exchange.  To be eligible, all items are required to be returned in their original, intact packaging.  Customer must first make contact with: support@inspiredbylux.com for approval.

Sale items are applicable for a one-time-per-customer exchange (if the item is a cologne or perfume).

Faulty items returned will also be inspected, and are eligible for full return payment after proper inspection has first taken place.  You will be notified and refunded once we have received and inspected such faulty item(s).

RETURN/EXCHANGE PROCESS:

To initiate a return -- OR -- one-time exchange, you must first reach out to us directly at: support@inspiredbylux.com with your order number and the issue.  Photographs will be required.  If your return/exchange meets approval, our Customer Support team will provide a Return Number which needs to be added on the top of the return box.  We will send you instructions on how and where to send your package.  The customer will need to ship the product back while covering the shipping cost, as well as provide a Tracking Number to our Customer Support Team by emailing: support@inspiredbylux.com .  You must ensure that the item(s) is adequately packaged and, at your own option and cost, insured.  We are not liable for damage caused by inadequate packaging by you, or if the item is damaged or lost while being returned to us.  Please keep your proof of postage and/or return tracking number when shipping back your returns. Items that are damaged when we receive them will not be eligible for receiving any refund of in-store credit.  Items sent back to us without first receiving prior authorization, or which are postmarked outside of the eligible 10-day return window, will not be accepted (or eligible) for receiving a refund of in-store credit.  Issuance of in-store credit and/or exchanges are made only after we have received and inspected customer’s item(s).

Customer is responsible for return shipping cost when making a return.  Customer is responsible for all shipping costs (both return and reshipment) when making any exchange. 

We do not issue money back – we only issue in-store credit.  Returns will have a $7.00 restocking fee per item deducted, along with the deduction of any additional payment processing fees, and any shipping costs incurred by the company before issuing in-store credit to customer.  Please note that your original shipping charge (if any) is not refundable.

If your item(s) are returned to sender, you will be issued a refund minus a $7.00 restocking fee per item, along with the deduction of any additional payment processing fees, and shipping costs incurred by the company.  Please note that your original shipping charge (if any) is not refundable.

DAMAGES AND ISSUES

Any item received which is faulty in any way must be immediately reported to: support@inspiredbylux.com.  Pictures must be included, and all packaging must be photographed.  All faulty returns will be inspected upon reception.  In addition, any items that are damaged when we receive them are not eligible for in-store credit refund (outside of faulty items received by customer). If damaged in shipping before a customer receives, we will refund you the full amount -- and that will go back to original payment method used.

IN-STORE CREDIT REFUNDS

We are only able to offer in-store credit refunds to our customers.  The only exception to this is customer receipt of a faulty item.  We will notify you once we have received and inspected your approved return.  Notification is via the email address you have provided (to our platform) to let you know if your refund has been approved, or not.

If your refund is approved, you will automatically be refunded via in-store credit, and an email with the approved amount (with restocking, shipping incurred by the company, and payment processing fees deducted) will be sent to the email address you have provided (to our platform) to let you know the amount of in-store credit issued. This process may take up to two (2) to three (3) business days upon receipt by Inspired By Lux.

Faulty items returned will also be inspected, and are eligible for full return payment after proper inspection has first taken place. You will be notified and refunded once we have received and inspected such faulty item(s).  This process may take up to two (2) to three (3) business days upon receipt by Inspired By Lux.

In the limited exception/circumstance of returning back to the original method of payment, this may take up to ten (10) business days to appear on a customer’s statement/account. A Restocking Fee of $7.00 per item will apply for returns back to the original payment method.
